2017 Aftermath Sauvignon Blanc
The 2017 Aftermath Sauvignon Blanc is quite similar to the 2016 vintage, with a tropical fruit nose. There are, however, a few subtle differences. The grapes were picked when they were less ripe than the prior year, resulting in slightly higher acidity. 70% of the final blend was aged in neutral oak, so that the resulting wine is more typical of Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc.
2016 Aftermath Sauvignon Blanc
The 2016 Aftermath Sauvignon Blanc is redolent with pineapple, papaya and guava. There is a hint of flintiness on the palate, as well as a delightful creaminess from the time spent in new oak. Acid is high enough to provide good balance, without being racy. The finish is long and lingering.
